When life gets especially difficult it can help to talk things over with an empathic listener, a trustworthy, trained professional who’s on your side and who is there to support you work through whatever you are going through. As an integrative counsellor I draw upon a variety of techniques and approaches as appropriate to a client’s unique circumstances and will often suggest ‘homework’ or ‘bibliotherapy’ in between sessions to enable a deepening understanding and self-development. A first session will be used to discuss what you want to get out of counselling and to set a counselling goal. I often use a couple of questionnaires which will help us gauge how things are for you now as well as providing you with a helpful way for you to review your progress at a later session. I have a comfortable warm room. Occasionally my cat may keep us company and sleep as we talk. I will offer you a drink and have a toilet that you can use if you need it. If travel is a problem I can offer home visits, or hire a suitable room. Alternatively I may be able to offer telephone counselling sessions.

The easiest ways to contact me are by email, phone or text message.
